My wife and I are biologists by training, environmentalists by ideology and nature lovers by inclination. As such, we leave a lot of wild plants in our garden – they grow like weeds, but quite a lot of them are native. We remove any we identify as an invasive species, but leave space for the rest. We also converted our pool into a pond, and have a few other miniature ponds about the grounds, which helps with wildlife. Here’s a post about our garden. We love seeing the different birds and lizards and butterflies and dragonflies and wasps and mammals and so on that call our garden home, or visit from time to time, and we take photos of them because we like them.
I’m collecting these photos here. I’ll identify them as best I can, but I welcome any guidance on a more specific or accurate identification.
